For the third “section” of the year, ULTA gives the NYX Birthday Palette to Rewards Members for free as their annual birthday gift. Since it was recently my birthday, and I love free things, I took the time out of my day to go and get my hands on this palette.
Just as a reference, this palette is limited edition, and retails around $16.00, unless you are an Ulta Rewards member who has a birthday sometime this or next month. The palette comes with 10 shades, half matte and half metallic/shimmer.
Guess what you guys? I finally got my hands on the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette. Now, I know I’m a bit late on this in regards to the beauty community, but I’m happy that I got it anyway. Those reviews weren’t lying: these are hands down the best eyeshadows I’ve ever tried. They’re soft, smooth, blendable, etc. You all know the drill. They’re amazing, we get it.
Should I have spent my paycheck to buy another foundation? No. Did I do it anyway? Yes.
I don’t know about any of you, but I’ve been waiting for this launch for about a year. When I realized that Rihanna was releasing a MATTE foundation (right up my oily skinned alley), I knew that I had to try it immediately.
If you know me, you’d know that underneath my hard, sarcastic exterior I’m an unapologetic girly-girl. I love pastels and pinks and roses and sunshine and rainbows (yikes I can’t believe I’m admitting this online). So anyway, I decided that for my next beauty post, I’d do something pink. Why? Why not?
(I can assure you that it has nothing to do with the fact that i only own like three makeup palettes)
Hello, welcome to my first beauty post (can you tell?)!
For my first beauty post, I decided to do a warm smokey eye using the infamous Morphe 350 palette. Sure, this palette doesn’t scream “summer”, but warm and dark colors are my all time favorite, and I’ve decided that I shouldn’t limit my eyeshadow color choices just because it’s a bit warmer outside.
That being said, here’s the final look! Details about the eyeshadow colors and other products are below.
